If You Go – New Hope and Lambertville
August 2010 | BY Sara Baker | Fall 2010, Issue 73
New Hope, Pa., and Lambertville, N.J., are located just 20 miles from Philadelphia and 65 miles from New York City. A free “Best of” map is located in many businesses in both towns, and can point you toward parking, public restrooms, shopping and dining options.
Be sure to stop by the New Hope Visitors Center and the Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce Office. Employees at both locations will be happy to answer questions and help you make the most of your trip. A few good websites to check out are www.newhopechamber.com (New Hope Chamber of Commerce), www.lambertville.org (Lambertville Chamber of Commerce) and www.visitbuckscounty.com (Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau).
Fall is a perfect time to visit the area, thanks to great weather and the annual New Hope Outdoor Arts & Crafts Festival, slated on Sept 25-26 this year. Close to 150 juried artists fill the streets for this popular event, now in its 17th year. Both towns offer great dining and lodging options, including several cozy bed and breakfasts located in Victorian houses. Check out the Wedgwood Collection of Historic Inns, a trio of inns on New Hope’s West Bridge Street. Each features the work of local artists, and is within walking distance of all of the galleries. Very enticing issue. Tried to stop by Lambertville last trip
on 95. Now I’m more encouraged to make it a destination.
Thanks for all you do!
