Kate Tremel
Biography
Kate Tremel has been getting her hands dirty for the past 20 years, yet the technique she uses to create her pottery goes back centuries. While in college, Tremel traveled to Peru where she studied a paddle-and-anvil technique, which became her signature skill. After living and working in France, Japan, Mexico and England, she currently resides in Anne Arbor, Mich. When she is not at work in her studio, she lectures at the University of Michigan and Washtenaw Community College.
