“Wavy Peanut Cuff Bracelet,” 2010, 6in. x 2.25in., sterling silver and 22kt bimetal
A former surgeon, Lori Gottlieb creates jewelry with a type of precision that comes from years of practice. Inspired by the world around her, Gottlieb’s art depicts nature, texture, shape and movement. Her one-of-a-kind, limited-edition pieces are created by hand without the help of machinery. “There’s no formula for anything. You have to figure out what’s the best way to set a stone, to put a piece together,” she says. Gottlieb was featured in the Winter 2009-2010 issue of AmericanStyle.
