Biography

In many of Scott Prior’s pieces, it is difficult to tell if what you’re looking at is a photograph or a painting—“There’s a fine line between what is real and what is not,” Prior says. An astronomy scholar, his oil landscapes and still lifes play with lighting in a natural way that fills every painting with a special type of luminescence. His real inspiration comes from home, which can be seen in his works. Prior was featured in the February 2008 issue of AmericanStyle.
